Heading up to visit the R-Speed kr3w and do a little car work.

I will have Sunday free and want to do some sight seeing in the city.
Does anyone have any suggestions for good, inexpensive fun and spots for good photos?

Last time I was 'in city' I got a some photos and visited a comedy club.

I would like to visit the WTC site again... can that be done? Is it off limts?

I didn't know you were coming up...hey, I'll change my plans and hang out with you guys. I know of some great things to do.

 

I just took some friends from Ohio to the WTC site on Sunday night. You can definetly visit it. Dave do you wanna set a meet?

 

I'll be in Purto Rico this w/e but definetly check out Times Square along w/ the Thether District, see if you can get some last minute tics to The Lion King, best Broadway play I've seen thus far.
Checkout Central Park and walk along Central Park West up to where the Museum of Natural history is and the Hayden Planetrium. Walk cross park to 5th Ave and check out the MET, don't go in tho unless u like stearing at famous art works for a long time. Walk toward downtown, checkout FAO Swartz.

Get to Grand Central Station (5th and 42nd) and checkout that building. Walk past The Liebrary and Brayant Park, get to The Empire State Building and go to the top.
Take a subway downtown and see the old WTC site (really not much there, looks like a construction zone) and see the City Hall. Walk over to Wall Street, see the Stock Exchange. Go back to midtown.

There's cheap places to eat everywhere you go.

Yeah...we should set a meet....and there's plenty to do here in NYC. Go to Times Square, 34th Street, Empire State Building, etc. The World Trade is definitely open for tourists. Although there's nuttin there but a big hole....but lemme know if there's a meet.

good places to go for good pictures are always by the water. East river under the Brooklyn Bridge{Manhatten side} around dusk is great.

hawks nest is cool, but kinda far from NYC and lots of bikes you gotta watch out for. dont forget the west side highway or FDR, after midnight on Fri and Sat nights. thats always interesting

I may or may not be able to hang alot....I have plans to see Aida on Sat. night and more importantly, my Dad is in the hospital, if his condition improves I can hang. I am home now, waiting for visiting hours to start to head over there.

Yea, last time in New York, I stayed in times square for $80 a night at the marriot, thanks to hotels.com. THeres a booth called TCKS, they sell tickets to all the shows and stuff for pretty cheap when it comes close to show time. I saw rent for $30... You can take a ferry to see the statue of liberty, and theres the WTC site you can see.

u will need a min. of 300 bucks per person to have a half way decent time there. and that does not include drinks.

it would be better going to a club and buying drinks for girls and taking them to a booth in the corner.

i was very unimpressed with the $$$/pleasure ratio at scores

u need to check out lil italy too. eat dinner one night there and check out all the beautiful women walking around.
