...no not the kind you swim in, only french men and **** wear those. LOL

I changed my cluster to an ex cluster and swapped my original speedo to keep the correct mileage. I removed the needle to get the white gauge face off though and when I put it back on its not in the same place. So when I start the car and its just idling, its reading 28mph.

Here's what I think I need to do to fix it, let me know if this is right. Just take the clear plastic cover off, take the needle off again, put the cluster in the car and start it up, then put the needle on in the 0mph position. Does this sound right? That's the only way I can think of to fix it. TIA.

 

maybe but you shouldn't have taken it off in the first place, your supposed to slide it under the needle...

My friend had this problem, but I think he made it more difficult than it had to be. He took one car through this empty parking lot with evenly spaced speed bumps and went 15 mph and timed between the bumps. Then he got his truck, started going down the bumps, and then stuck the needle at 15 mph when the timing was right. Seemed way more complicated than it has to be, but it did work

 

Take the needle off and adjust it. AAA will fix it for free at the Tach and speedo accuracy events too//
