tps is connected to the throttle body so thats not it... humph this has me stumped cause no one talks about this thing in DPFI to MPFI articals
I think there was a thread on this a while ago. I think it was the EGR valve or something like that, something that only autos had. The manifold was probably from an EX.
Some si's dont have it others do. It dosnt really do anything if you ask me i had mine unpluged (swapped a motor that had one) and it didnt seem to affect anything. My 89 crx si didnt have it but ive seen other 89 si's that had them so i have no idea.

that is the fast idle control solenoid valve. you dont have to hook it up it will throw no code and not really effect anything at all. it may make your idle a little wierd sometimes. i belive it is used to speed up the idle at colder or warmer temps or something like that. if you really want to hook it up, you can run the two wires directly to the ecu pins, the dx harness isnt wired for it. cant rembmer what ecu pins it is, look in the service manual.

Yeah,I just did the MPFI swap too,and asked the same question, someone said its a cold start solenoid.Mines not hooked up and does just fine without it.
i just checked my 1989 honda service manual (not the helms, the one with the blue cover) and it didn't list that part at all. i do know this manual isn't as complete as the helms, though...

89+ si...i believe the 88 si has a blank undrilled spot for it on the manifold.
