Considering custom exhaust - what size pipe for b18b
Im looking to get a custom cat-back exhaust made for my 98 LS. Im wondering what size pipe would be most power-beneficial for the b18b in my LS.
I plan to go N/A for this car although i have thrown around the turbo option alittle.
I just dont want to spend 500 dollars on exhaust and not gain power; is there any risk in getting a custom cat back pipe with a good canister with regards to making power?

From what i have seen, an exhaust isnt gonna make or brake you power wise. If your running a stock motor, dont expect to see big gains, if gains at all. If you do end up going with a turbo, or put out large numbers with an NA setup, then your gonna see the gains over the stock/smaller pipe exhaust.
I went with a custom 2.5" on my GS-R, and i love the deeper tones i get, but honestly, i doubt it did much for me power wise, maybe unlocked a few horses, but nothing to call home about.

2.25" is what I have on my gs-r and i love the low sound but you should do some other minor mods to see some real gains. intake, chip, fuel pump and cams. You'll love your car after that
