I am getting a little bit of gear oil comming out of the transmition, and I think it is the seals. The oil collects at the bottom of the transmition, but the leaking never gets too bad. You all say the I need to replace them?
I want to put in my GM syncromesh damn-it!
Thanks ahead of time

get the part from the dealer, remove the shift rod ans stabilizer rods. you won't to drain the tranny, but place a oil pan below the tranny. using a flat head screwdriver, pry the old seal off the tranny. take the new seal and put a small coat of oil on it, place it on the tranny. using a socket that will fit on the inside part of the seal, hammer the seal back in the tranny(don't hit it too hard). one you do that, attach your shifter rods and your done!

not at all, that seal stays on the outside of the tranny case. you push it into the tranny, not as hard as you might think
