my friend has an 86 Si hatch and it has lowering springs that have blown his struts or shocks (dont really know much about the old civics) i was looking for new shock or struts and dont know what will fit on them will the 89-91 shocks and springs fit. how about the 92-95's i have no clue some one help me out. i just wanna know what will work with the 86 beast thanks peace

 

i didnt even know there was a 86 SI, i thought they didnt dome out til 87

No the 84-87 Civic/CRX suspension has torsion bar front (no springs) and the rear is a coilover shock.. I had tokico blues on my 86 CRX and the ride was stiff but handled great also had the torsion bars lowered.. There is a 86Si. But i doubt they will. I think they are tosion bars up front. correct me if im wrong

 

No it won't fit that uses torsion bars
