anything is possible. what you have to debate is if it is really worth it.

you can make anything fit in a crx. I know a shop here that would install it for you.

Very hard. I think hasport has done a writeup on putting one into a EG or Ek. I would personally wait and see how well the K series motors take off, cause right now the b series has much more support, and it is charted territory. If you want to be one of the first to experiment, than go for it, but it will not be easy at all.

It would be neat, but I don't think it's a practical swap.

my brother and I are also interested in this swap. Only problem is that the motor is still fairly expensive, and not sure if fitment is going to be an issue or not in an EF.

What are the benefits of the K20 as opposed to any of the b-series motors? Is it strictly novelty that you are after? For the money spent putting a k-series in a crx you could have a very quick b-series setup.

it would be a great looking swap, BUT the only purpose of that swap would be to get everybody's attention, or shows. NOT A GOOD SWAP FOR RACING.... sorry my op.

Dude,

For starters good luck, i hope your rich. This motor spins opposite what the crx and pre k series twists. Good ieda though, if you had the money this sounds like one rip-snortin setup. What is the k series, like almost 200 ft-lbs torque? mmm burning rubber (followed by sounds of hard breathing and drooling)

Not a good swap for racing? K- Series motors respond very well to tuning, and can make more power than B- Series motors. They are very good for racing. But like previously mentioned the engine spins in the opposite direction to the B- Series motors so fabrication is necessary. And they don't make 200 ft lb/tq, the K20 makes around 150 ft/lbs

I would give it some time before attempting a K- Series swap. It sounds like a lot of people are misinformed about the K motors and it's uncharted territory. For the $$$$$ spent on the K swap he could put in a b18c5 or a b20VTEC and run 12's.

That's awesome! I'd love to see this setup some day. Pioneering people are what started it all man, thanks to those kinds of guys we wouldn't have ls-vtec, B20 vtec, H22s in Rexs... none of that. Good luck to you man.

Very true... Many people are speculating bad outcomes, but you'll never know until you try it. I say go for it and let us know how it goes...

well for one the k-series motor is supposed to be LIGHTER than the b-series counterpart.

also the hardest part of this swap would be the wiring. you'd almost be better off running the k20 engine and underdash wiring harnesses and adapting them to the EF accessories.

That'd be a lot of work, but it would be worth it, IMO.

The swap is done but in a eg hatch in by someone in HT. Go check out the hybrid forum and it's a sweet setup and has individual throttle bodies on it. Check it out. The guy spent rough 6-7 g's already but it's well worth it over a b-series and better than a dropping in a h-series. 200 stock hp's (at the flywheel) compared to a type r stock and you get the 6 speed tranny. Money is the key and wiring is the only hard part I've heard., and the imobilizer in the ecu has to be deactiviated.

I say have Dr Charles do it from what he told me is that the motor is actually lighter and smaller than a b-series and i watched him at Area51 wire up his EK with no check engine lights. I say do it
