Just DYNOed a RSX TYPE-S
HOLY ****! That's about 24 more hp thant the ITR! Post the whole dyno, so were can break it down. I guess the car got faster with the ecu chip recal (my test drive car was SLOW). -C

184?!? i'm gonna call BS on this one unless i see the plot...and even then i may call BS.
i've seen stock s2k's dyno an 190...are you telling me a stock RSX is within 6HP of an s2k? bs...b-f'ing-s.

With ya Speedy!
A large percentage of stock Type R's Dyno right at 163-165hp at the wheels. So the fact that the RSX Type S is only rated 5hp more doesn't add up at all.
My 0.2

I just found another thread about this same RSX-S although their's no dyno sheet up there yet either. Hopefully, the guy here or there posts it. I'm not calling BS yet, I'm still hoping that Honda's new engine really is all that. http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread...&threadid=3284

see above link in which type S dynoed at 163. much more realistic, imo. i highly doubt there's 22whp of variability among these mass-produced cars.
185whp...pssshhh.

Well I drove one and it was slower than my R (which is stock except for a k&n filter in stock air box). So if they do dyno that high that kinda sucks because that means they have a lot more power and they are still slower, unless my tester had a dead body in the trunk or something.
I test drove a type r and a Type S back to back and they are very comparable in terms of straight line speed. The type s weighs more so it should have more power.
And also type of dyno matters and the weight of the drum. so do not get your **** in a knot till you know the facts. Are all you type r owners scared that you car is not all that anymore??

I drove ITR, RSX-S and S2000. S2000 definitely has good 30-40hp over ITR and it feels that much faster. RSX-S is only on-par with ITR. I highly doubt it's making extra 23hp than an ITR.

i trust group-a and dave, they did my head. but no where in the clubrsx thread does it say that their rsx is bone stock. if i said my stock gsr was dyno'd at 166, wouldn't you raise the bull**** flag???
but no where in the clubrsx thread does it say that their rsx is bone stock.
But anyways, the torque curve....or line...is ruler flat. I guess the "intelligence" really works.
