AutoX has very little to do with the vehicle you are driving. The times you get are 90% driver skill. Almost everyone sucks at autoX when they are first starting out. I know I certainly did. But with just more seat time and practice, you will improve dramatically.

You are at a beginning point and just starting out. A different suspension would have had no significant impact on your times. It's all about the driver, not the vehicle. Be patient and keep with it!

Oh, I am not disappointed. The FTD of the day was high 32 seconds. I was VERY please with my time.

The guy who owns the X5 also has the 315hp M Roadster coupe and a Porsche 996. He autoXs A LOT. It was just funny to see an SAV beat me. LOL

I have a stock 161K suspension and S03 tires. I THINK I might get a GC/AGX suspension combo.

 

Interesting. I'm still waiting for the day I see a vehicle where the rim has contact with the surface. That day may never come.

Get it! I have this on my Lude and it's great!

 

I'm surprised an SAV was allowed on course. The right slalom would pop that sucker right on its side. Or worse, roof.

Here's to show you a spread of even identical cars with different drivers... and check out the 3rd car listed! lol... and F-150!! (BTW&gt; for those who don't know, the very last # listed for each car is the PAX time, which can sorta be used to compare your time to a car in a different class, and the 2nd to last time is the best overall time they did with any penalties included)

 

im not suprised, i have sway bars koni shocks and skunk 2 coilover...ya friends 328is destroys me in the twisties, that x5 would definatly take out hondas. especially if u have stock suspension.

Really?

I don't like how those cars drive in the first place, they take the feeling out of the driving experience and add luxury to compensate.

Honestly I don't know how you can compare a 328 to an X5, seeing how the X5 has a ton more weight and all that weight sits up alot higher. I *can* see how the X5 beat him because the X5 had an experienced driver behind the wheel and the lude had a Novice.

 

It was cool to see a guy in a E38 7 Series out there too. Total sleeper. He ran consistent 37 second runs.

I still need to improve my car control. I also want to change my suspension too. I think it is pretty much dead.

Oh, I have 4WS also. I would like to know how much that helps.
