Default CAM for my D16Z6 TURBO !!!

Hi !!!

I have a D16Z6 with a TD04H-15G who boost 15 psi with a AEM EMS.

I almost have 260 hp to the wheels on dyno.

I would be interrested to put a cam in it to get more hp ... and spring with titanium retainer... now all this stuff is OEM except a port and polish...

I will put CROWER spring and retainer the price seem to be good ...

But I dont know wich cam could be good...SKUNK2 and CROWER do turbo grind....

Anyone have tried those one or have any tips for me !!!???? THANK YOU

Screw a cam, you need a bigger turbo. You could make 300+ with a t3/t4 at 16 psi and stock block

Yep, what he said, your snail is too small. Spend the money there first, then worry about a cam later.

so you think that it could be a better place to spend my money... I know but it will be a lot of work to fit this turbo...my downpipe is custom build ( the flange at the exhaust + DP) and a new turbo = new manifold...$$$ I know that my engine could take this..... it was in my head but $$$

I dont if any bigger turbo could easily replce mine ???

The turbo is already reaching is effecient limit (if not already passed). Time to go with a new mani/turbo combination.

common I was supposed to stop spending money on my car but you are telling me to do what I should not.... mmmh but I know that I will do it anyway...

my block is not sleeved...I only have SRP piston, Eagle rod and a block guard with the stock head gasket...

which kind of turbo should I get ???

The Greddy-Mitsu. TD05H-18G seem to fit weel ... is it a good choice ? and also ...does my block could resist to a bigger turbo...???

Well Thank even if you give me bad idea...

Sorry man, but if it's more power you're after... gotta pay to play!

The only other turbo's that bolt-up to that manifold are smaller T25's and T28's, just buy yourself a nice manifold with a T3 flange and a good T3/T4 60-trim

thank for the tips... anyway I begin to be tired of the lack of power after the 6000 rpm range...

I just have a question... is it better for an engine to run more cfm in it, with less pressure ???

ex : t3/t4 at 10 psi = 300 hp

or my TD04H-15G at 15 psi = 260 hp

do you know what I mean ??? less pressure but more cfm ...

Uh, can't his 15G be fitted with a big 16G wheel (or even larger) and balanced for less than the cost of a slowcheapturbo.com T3/4, much less a diff manifold?

To my knowledge, the 16G wheel won't fit in the 15G housing, nor will the 16G housing work with a TD04 hot side, but if it could, that would be an excellent upgrade for GReddy users

I'll trade your EMS with my Rebic IV + $$$. That way you'll be able to buy almost for free a new turbo and manifold An EMS is too complicated for you anyway

I was told that you could have big 16G wheel fitted to the TD04, and the 14B/15G housing machined to accommodate the wheel for $225 at one point. I was given referrals to a turbo shop that did theis, but it's in the clusterfuck of my inbox + requires a little sorting. I'll try to dig it up.
