Default Auto Teg ECU on my b2?

I've had my old a6 laying around for a while and my dx beater just developed a cam seal leak. So instead of just fixing that I've decided to go ahead with the mpfi swap, and throw in the a6 camshaft as well, using everything from my old a6 and already grabbed the resistor box. Problem is I'm having a hard time finding an auto pm6 ecu. Would an auto teg ecu work, 88-89? I know it should but I'm concerned about running rich on the little b2. Anybody used one before? I've also got a post in the classifeds for the ecu. *crosses fingers*
