Default H&R race springs

Does anyone here have any experience with H&R race springs. I've been thinking about getting them for my CRX. I already have KYB gr2 shocks to go with them.

Well I have heard good things about the H&R sports but not anything about the race springs. I do know however though that the race springs might be too much of a drop for the GR2's to handle you may end up blowing the shocks out early. I heard they dont like to handle much over an inch, inch and a half drop too well.

I second response..

GR2's are not much more of an upgrade then stock shocks, many times they feel like a great improvement. Thats usually due to the fact that your replacing 14 year old shocks.

I would upgrade the shocks before you do the springs..

I am putting on sports with the gr2's soon....

I did alot of research and found that this setup should work great. I got the whole setup for a really good deal so I could not pass it up. But I did hear from many people that you should not count on the gr2's for a drop 2in or more...they'll blow.

Sports should drop me 1.6 - 1.7 and there are no major road hazards (or hills or turns for that matter.....florida... ) so they should be fine.

If I still have the hatch when I move back to NJ..I will upgrade the shox...

There is a guy on here as well as on the RR/AutoX forum civic44 that has been racing that setup (H&R race + GR2) for quite some time now, you may want to pm him for more details.

I have them and have had them for 4 or 5 years now. They're not bad if you get them cheap. Back then there weren't a lot of options, so they were about the best spring for the price. At that time they were said to be 100% the same as Neuspeed race springs. I'm not sure if that is still the case although I do know H&R was making Neuspeed springs at that time... I'm just not sure that H&R and Neuspeed were actually made to the same specs.
