Today, my friend tried opening my door by pulling on the handle as i was trying to unlock the lock from the inside. (i have a 92 cx) Well...the lock just all of a sudden got loose? and doesnt click anymore...if i was going to lock my door i would have to lock it with a key from the outside. is there anyway to have this fix?
the inside handle breaks real easy. Where the rod from the lock mechanism attaches to the inside door handle is the most likely problem.

That happened on my driver's side lock. I just left it that way so if some thief tries to unlock the door by pulling back the window, they'll have to use the passenger's side.

Take off part #7/ 20
there is one screw then it slides out.
then you should be able to see if #5 / 19 is broken

hit your friend first of all
take apart the door see what's broken.
it's not that hard just make sure you don't break any of the little plastic things that keep the panel on!
good luck.

It's that way on both my doors. One night my old roomate pulled up while some kick was taking my stereo, my roomate said he almost killed himself trying to get out fast enough to get away. After the kid got out, he jumped onto the back of his buddies car and drove off. My roomate came into the house laughing his *** off and said, Dude some kid was just inside your car and it was the funniest thing" I didn't find it funny, now that i think back on that night I wished I could have saw it!
