MPFI swap done now has code 9
Well it's just about 4 am here and i'm just done with my mpfi swap. Initial impressions, wow. but on to the problem. It's throwing a code 9. So i'm assuming that i reversed the wires for the Distributor. I'm way to tired to take care of it tonight so I'll try tomorrow. Oh yeah and the tach jumps around a LOT once you get up into the 4k range now.

yeah mine takes about 5 seconda after starting to show up. I'm using a distributor and ecu from a 90 Si i have. Everything worked fine in that car so I'm hopeingthat i can work it out quickly.
The tach jumping problem is the ignitor in the distributor. This issue plagued my b16 for a long time, but went completely away after I put a new one in. $120.xx from Honda. The ignitor is inside your distributor, under the cap. You should see 3-4 wires w/spade connectors plugged into a flat silver box. Pull one of the wires off and check it for corrosion and deposits of general crud. If it has it, you're looking at replacing it. Don't let it go too long, it'll FUBAR the rest of the distributor eventually.
I'm throwing code 9, my blue/green and blue/yellow wires are switched and still throwing it. Any ideas? How does code 9 affect the engine?

have you check for resistance between the blue/yellow and green/yellow wires in the Diz plug?? Those coils are the main reason for the problems. There at least 12 years old and over time heat and cold will cause them to break down...
