Default honda pilot problems?

I was wondering if there are any common problem with honda pilot. It seems like my friend (female, going to be 30 soon) got a lemon or something as she experience the following problem

1) check engine light intermittently come on
2) srs light always on
3) once whe she was driving, ALL the light in the dash blink/flashes like crazy
4) sometimes when she drive and the break doesn't work properly, it vibrates a lot. Other times she can drive 80mph on free way and have no proble braking so it's not the rotor.

The car has under 10k miles on it, maybe 5k.

I know the problems I describe may be hard to solve but it's not my car and I can't really do anything to it.

i highly doubt that its a honda problem. all the lights that your friend are experiencing are probably because of a previous accident. if u didn't get a carfax, then i would say you should get one done. srs lights usually stay on after accidents, and need to be reset by honda dealers.

I doubt that the car was in a accident it's basicly a new car. It should be under warranty and take it back. Why mess with a new car while it has warranty. And ask them to check if there are any recalls on your vehicle. Dam honda after 41/2 years of having my car I just recently found out about alot of recalls that I was never notified . Had to log my car onto hondas website to find out myself.

if i was her. i would bitch and complain to the manager. I would tell them that i didnt pay 30g+ for a brand new vehicle to have problems. Otherwise i would of bought a used car. If you said the car was a LEMON. Doesnt that mean that shell get a new car out of it?

Yeah! It doesn't matter if modern cars have a dozen or so computers, hundreds of feet of wiring and about a bazillion moving parts, it should never have any problems (especially intermittent problems!!).

If I were you, I'd go to the service manager and I'd cry like a schoolgirl until he used his magic wand and he fixed your car. HELL YEAH! It's a lemon! It was brought in ONE time for service. It doesn't matter if NONE of the problems were present at the time of service. They should have guessed and replaced the engine or the transmission or the computer (or all three).

Sarcasm is just one of the services I provide.

haha. thanks for the help guys

so far she's ttaken the car in for 4~5 times with no problems found

they even kept the car for days and still nothing

they even had the nerve to tell her 1) it's the piece of paper on her passenger side, don't put a paper there and 2) it's the cell phone charger, don't keep a cell phone charging when the car is in motion.

what the ****?

she want's to know if she can take it to another dealershiip to get it checked out?

I see why not. If your not satisfied with one dealers work then go to another. Not every tech is the same so try another. I have a friend that works for so everytime I bring my car in for a warranty I would request that he work on my car.

I believe for a car to be a lemon it needs the same repair done 3 times?

Sounds electrical.... That'll be hard to find. Definently tell her to try a new dealer.

I have a pilot as well. Can someone please tell me where to look for the plastic blinking lights on the side mirror? I've gone to multiple shops and to no avail..
Also when I drive my pilot I keep getting the Service engine light on as well... Maybe it is a flaw that they overlooked..
