PART 2: Tuning An Accord into a Street Car ...
Hey guys,
I'm back. I'm sorry about the other thread and why I didn't response to any of you. Anyhow, if you had read about the last thread on TUNNING AN ACCORD INTO A RACE CAR.. I had mentioned about get some info from ALL YOU FOLKS out there with the rice cars for some tips on turning my accord into a race car..
... now, from reading your inputs.. my desires is to tune it into a street race car... not an import show car ..but a real street ricer.. ...
There were a few of you out there that had mentioned about swapping H22, making the F motor more powerful, or even turning it upside down into a dragster .. ... AFTER reading your comments and suggestions, ...here's what I want..
I have saved up approximately ... 20K bones. FYI, I'm a financial advisor for MTI in Long Beach, CA. ...anyways, that's another story. ... so with that said... I want to tune,... once again...TUNE ... my car into a street race car... one that I can take to the tracks and pull at least a 4 banger or so.. ... ...
... if you're new to this trial of thread, ... I have an Accord 2001 LX 4door I4 F23A4 Engine. I want that piece of crap tuned into a "Ultimate" Street racing machine..
.... )Please bare with me and my patience.. thanks.

all i could add for you here would be to take that h22 [if u swap one in] and boost it... but thats kinda obvious anyway. some say you'd have to do some engine mods to have a reliable turbo h22 but i really dont know. anyway good luck
Please, before you post some more get some termonolgy correct. "Ricer" here is considered a bad thing. You want to stray away from being known as a "ricer" and start using "tuner" or "enthusiast". And most cars here are not "rice" cars but "nice" cars with an N. And before you "TUNE" your car into a so called race car you'll want to "BUILD" your car first with parts.
So here, what your asking I believe is how to build your accord into a fast car for the street/tracks. Well first pick what motor you want to use. You can stick with your f23 or go ahead and swap the more powerful h22. Which ever motor you choose you'll want to pick the route you wanna take to get more power out of your motor. You can choose to go all motor, turbo, super charged, or nitrous injected.
Now with the choices in your hands its up to you witch route to go. After choosing which route you want to go for do a search about it. For example if you choose to go all motor on an h22 simply search for "h22", "all motor", or go to the prelude forum and read one of the stickies up top about going all motor on an h22. Simple as that. Now that youve got your choices organized for you please consider your options and research about it.
Cliff notes:
termonolgies..
rice < tuner/enthusiast
ricer cars < nicer cars
tune my car into a race car < build up my car then tune for optimal performance
-choose what motor to use for build up.. i/e f23 or h22
routes to go for more power..
1) all motor
2) turbo
3) super charge
4) nitrous injection
what to do..
-learn termonologies
-pick which motor to work on
-pick a route to follow
-research
-start building up your accord into the ultimate street/race car of your dreams
-come back and post timeslips, pictures, kill stories, etc..
cant get anymore straight forward than that
