Default had a bad install on itr cams

well i got my itr cams yesterday. so i decided to put them in today. everything went in fine. but stupid me i forgot one nut on the cam gear cover. so it felt all the way down to the crank pully. so not knowing it fell down. i attempted to start the car. then A BIG CLANK! but i didnt start the car. i immediatly stop the car. looked around saw nothing. so i remove everything again. started to hand crank the pully and it was soo hard to do. belt didnt jump a tooth so i guess i was lucky that the belt didnt skip a tooth so timing was okay no piston to valve contact. then i saw the belt, and it was shredded thats when i knew the bolt was there. grrr. bought a belt when i was about to change the belt. i saw this.

that bolt did that to the crank pully. grrr. stupid me. now i am waiting till tomorrow to order the part.

cliff notes: tried to install cams, left a bolt in the timing belt area, broke crank pully.

Just make sure you get the correct part for OBD-2 motors with CKF sensor.

Its the one with the backing right? i seen the obd1 motor gears that its just the gears. so i am assuming that the obd2 motors the sensor reads the backing part right?

no just be careful and thorough. took me 3 hrs, with no prior experience. no problems thus far, and that was 10 months ago.

Yes.

The OBD-1 gears don't have the extra set of teeth on the back, just the driver gear for the timing belt.

Update: Lucky me today, i headed out to the Acura Dealership in Oakland to order my Crank pulley gear. And the parts guy was like " ooh i have one in stock" YES!!! no more waiting for me. cost me like 60 dollars thought ouch. , oh well its was my fault anyway. soo i get the part. and started to work on my car. changing the timing belt and finishing up the install. started the car. whoo hoo runs like a champ. now for the test drive on the itr cams, i set my vtec point with my fields controller to 5000, omg it was crazy. i noticed a slight loss in low end but high end pulled stronger to my butt dyno, it really revs up all the way to redline.

Overall itr cams are a good bang for the buck mod. next in line are skunk2 manifold and jdm itr header.

with itr cams ...do you have to have the motor tuned after you install them?

i am not going to tune them yet reason being i want to get skunk2 manifold, itr throttle body and jdm itr header, and cam gears. dont want to tune every time i get a new part, i rather tune them all together.

Perhaps you mean 200 BHP, instead.
