how is it going out soon, when it hasn't even come close to taking over?
yeah, 99% of honda-tech members have "JDM" looking cars. big deal, there are 35,000 members.
i still see 100 cars with primered body kits and aluminum wings, for every 1 "JDM" car i see.

Played out this, played out that, who cares. What's everyone going to do when the clean stock look is out? How can clean stock looking cars go out of style? How is a clean stock looking car even considered a style?

My thoughts exactly. No matter what, if you are like many who have been there, and done that; I'm talking about body kits, loud exhausts, all "Rice" excessories, etc. like me, most likely the Stock look is what looks the best... Right? No matter what you do, Stock will always be the best over everything. Just my .02

Seems like the person who started this thread was just looking for some thin side moldings for his car, not a lecture on what you think everyone should do, or an opinion of whats hot and whats not. To the original poster, I haven't heard of anyone producing, or attempting to produce thin side moldings, as I doubt their minimal popularity warrants large scale production.

why does everyone look at jdm as a trend? exactly how many looks can you go on a car, usdm stock, jdm, or body kitted out. how is jdm getting played out? its not, you play it out by going rota or knockoff everything.
i think if u like how jdm look good for you who gives a flying F%CK if its played out or not everyone wants to be original but thats impossible because once u do something to ur car u might be original in the place u live but someone else already did it so if jdm becomes trendy then all these honda-tech guys will be considered rice including me so then whats everyone gonna do put big aluminum wings on their car and vinyl stickers because thats not the cool thing to do anymore buy the sidemoldings man jdm is still cool in my book but once again who cares wat i think

The above comment along with the term played out is played out
Who gives a damn really? I wish people in this hobby would stop being so concerned about being ontop of or behind the next trend and start thinking about what makes them happy instead. A clean car that performs well will always be appreciated.

hopefully all that bs dies off and people go back to mustangs.......maybe the price of parts will go back down.
there are always used ones on eBay.
I got mine from a&j racing
My local Honda dealer wanted $191.00 for a new set.

I think there is a big difference between JDm and clean. Not necessarily looks wise but parts wise.
Truly to JDM means someone who goes out and gets the real JDM amber corners and headlights, gauge cluster, , expensive or hard to get wheels from Japan, interior pieces.......hell sometimes going as Far as the rear hatch glass.
Clean is the guy that will buy 30 dollar amber corners from Nakayama instead of 120 bux for vision corners, buy Rota's instead Spoon wheels etc.
I'm guilty of both. I have expensive japanese wheels and EG6 gauge cluster, hazard and clock. I have carbon fiber pieces but its all no name or VIS.
I buy **** for my car because I like. If others want to pigeon hole me to make themselves feel better thats fine. I personally don't give a ****.
I'm so tired of people thinking that dark wheels carbon fiber hood and a hatch back make you car look JDM.
And for the record yes damn near every hatchback on here looks the same....I'm sure some of that is because of the Honda-tech lemmings and some of that is because of the people who are generally like minded and do the same **** because the like the same ****.
But keep this in mind. Very rarely is anyone's hatchback copied in its entirety on this site (I have twins around the city I live in). I think a good amount of us try to do things a little different while still in the confines of our tastes.
I did not just start liking hatchbacks either. This is my 6th hatch and i bought my 7th for my wife (hopefully I'll get it back someday). i had my 1st 92-95 civic when I was 16. Bought it and made payments on the bitch and payed my own ins. while still attending high school (And civics were pricey as hell back then). This is 10 years ago.
And I'll be damned if some 18 year kid is going to run up to me and say that my car is just a trend follower and it will be out of style soon. I've seen trends come and go.....hell I even owned a ITR for a short while.....but I always owned a hatchback.

The clean JDM style was here before the Ricers and will still be here long after the ricers.
If you think "JDM" is a fad then your probably someone who thinks the copies are a good substitiue for the real deals.
Trends get played out and come and go
Clean looking rides stand the test of time because they will always be clean......clean is always good, not necessarily stylish, or trendy but no matter what...its clean
No such thing as "jdm look" either unless of course your a jDm rIcEr wanna be

as for you who bought the real spoon mirrors at least you have the satisfaction of knowing that they are the real deal. when someone asks you abut them and you say they are real its better. IMO

Since when did I say Stock was a style??? I mearly pointed out that Everything comes back to Square One = Stock. Thats what this whole JDM thing is about right? That clean well oiled machine look that Japan intended for its cars in the first place.
