Default Intake mani??

Im wondering if I will notice some gains if I get a skunk 2 IM with my set up: I/H/T/E. I also have a vafc which I tuned. Is the power to be expected as much as a exhaust or any other performance part I have. What are the pros and cons of having this type of manifold, or a type R mani, which seems to be very similar. Also I have a b16a2.

TIA

Yea you should get some gains over the stock b16a manifold.I would get the Type R mani since its probably cheaper.

Should I get the R TB also? Will I need to replace my intake for a 3in or is the o.d. the same?

Not really going to get any large gains with a sk2 manifold. The b16a manifold flows plenty well espec. with the mods you have done. The sk2 manifold is real popular with the gsr since it has a dual stage manifold (butterflies). Use that money on some cams such as Sk2 stg1, toda spec a, or jun stage 2 if you want a mild street setup.

i agree with nadc2. The b16 manifold is a quality peice and just because the other one is a "type r" doesnt mean it would flow too much better. Buy some cams!

You'll probably pick up 1 or 2 hp with the TB. IM might drop a few midrange on a bolt on B16 and pick up a few top end. All minimal gains mind u.

well personally i think you may not see good gains with intake manifold, but if you have cams i think the skunk2 intake manifold will make a difference, but ofcourse not on a stock setup, some headwork is needed 1st, so if he is planning on cams in the future it is a good upgrade.

Also in relation to this topic i would like to know if anyone knows anything about the carbon fiber intake manifold from Endyn? and hows it perform or if it is more of a overkill like the JG intake manifold
