Default complete h23 to h22 swap

i have a 93 h23 prelude. i just swapped the whole motor with a jdm h22. for some reason i have no power at all.it runs but it has real bad acceleration. if i am going up a hill it cant even make it up unless i stay in like 2d gear all the way. i am running with my h23 trans and distributer. it has the exterior coil. does that make a difference? right now i dont even have vtec hooked up and i am running my stock h23 computer still. when i tried to plug up the h22 ecu it ran even slower with the acceleration. anyone have any ideas why it is running so slow???

well, first unless your distributer was bad in the first place that wont affect anything. Second, Its definitely not the tranny. Third, i would not be running the h22 with the h23's computer it will run lean and can cause a lot of damage to your engine. Forth, before you did the swap did you replace they timing belt or at least check to make sure it was on correctly? Did you change the oil? Have you reset the timing? Do you get any CEL's?

I say put the h22's computer (p13) back in your car hook up the 3 wires for vtec (if you need the 2 ecu pins i have a few extra you can buy). Then after you have checked all items mentioned above, then drive the car around and see if you get any CEL's, if you do check them and tell us what they are.
