I tried the "Engine Year" thread, but it wasn't much help, but all I need is a simple answer if anyone knows. From what I was told in the past, there are circled stamps on the the JDM GSR block, and one of those circles determines the year of the motor; but which one exactly? And how? I have 4 stamps in a row.

Let's say that ( ) is a circle:

The first stap looks like (9|3)

(<U>0</U>) is the second
9

Third: (7 \ ) &lt;-----except '7' was upside down


Fourth: ( 3/ ) &lt;---- '3' was upside down
Above the Circle is "| || |||"

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

 

correct me if i am wrong but i believe that it is the one nearest the header.

the (9|3) stands for '93, but then you just add a year. so 1994.

anyone contest?
