Hey guys my hatch light stays on even when its closed, at first it would flicker on and off when i hit potholes, but now it just stays on 100% of the time. Yes i did take a look back there, i didnt take out the whole piece but this is what i saw, there is a sliding piece on the left that goes up and down but this has no effect whatsoever on the dash light, the piece on the right does nothing, it doesnt move. what the hell is wrong with this thing, its super annoying.

 

that's funny b/c mine just started doing the EXACT same thing. it flickers on and off. I have yet to look at it though.

 

I had the same problem about a year ago. I ended up spaying the whole thing down with tri-flow back there. Haven't had a problem since then. hope it works for ya.

 

fixed the problem, turns out one of the wires on my alarm was loose, thanks for the replies.
