LONG PROBLEM CLIFFNOTES SCROLL DOWN

ive been playing with the cam gear for several days now because i thought the misfire problem i had was because of cam timing. first i had a flat spot/misfire at around 5k rpm. after driving around a bit more the spot spread to about 4-5k rpm. i though t my cam timing was off because i was only getting a code 9 when my sensor was plugged in. the problem got worse and worse and while i played with the cam and dist timing it did not get better. also i noticed my distributor was making a loud squeaking sound. so loud that you can hear it inside the car with the hood closed and windows up.
well yesterday at night i was made some adjustments to the cam timing and it seemed to run better. i also set the dist timing with a timing light. i decided that the car could drive so i went to get my friend to go somewhere. on the way back from my friends house on a 3 lane expressway (lawrence for all you san jose folk) my car decided it would be good to turn off. i was still rolling so after it didnt start with a 3rd gear start i rolled up to the stop light and hit my hazards. luckily it was red. i waited a while and finally it started up but it didnt sound like it wanted to at all. well i parked the car still misfiring around 3-4k but now it was normal. we left to go somehwere and once again my car dies. this time i had to wait a little longer for it to start up (about 10 min). now i decided when it started to go straight to my friends house about 5 or 6 blocks away. well i never made it there because my car died at taco bell in about 2 blocks. after messing with everything to try to start it i gave up and went with another friend. but not before waiting for aaa for 30 minutes to hear them say that my car is too low to tow. well at about 3:00 in the morning we go back to my car to check on it and i see i left my dome light on. well i decided to jump in and see if it starts and to my surprise it started up. i drove it home and went to sleep (it barely made it home because it was misfiring so bad) when it wouldnt start and when it died it gave me a code 15. i tried to clean my connections to the coil inside the dist but the problem did not get better. is it my ignitor or dist or bad wiring or what?

Cliffnotes: car was misfiring. the higher in rpms the tach got the more it would jump around. code 15 ignitor. cleaned and resoldered all the connections i made my self.
