6th gen h22 accord fuel problems
the car does not want to start....fuel line is not kinked, has full tank of gas but it keeps on cutting off, why? he just got his p28 re-chipped but still had the problem before rechipping it...it will turn on from time to time but when you take it for a drive it starts bogging and hesitating like its gonna turn off....at one point while it was in neutral, he had the gas pushed in like at 2 grand and held it there but then it started to rev all crazy, up and down then shortly cut off....i really doubt its the fuel filter but am going to change it anyways....i was kind of wondering what are the chances of the fuel pump going bad? is there anyway to check it? if it is the fuel pump we will be replacing it with a walboro 255 pump....any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks, Sal
yeah I kind of figured it was you guys
I'd say its definately not the fuel filter. the guy at Honda told me that the fuel filter is basically a lifetime part. you should never have to replace it unless somebody sugars your tank or something like that.

I'd be suspicious of any mechanical part failing after installing a rechipped ECU....
I'm not saying it couldn't be, but thats just my general feeling. It sucks to throw parts at a problem, although a walbro pump is a good part to throw at a car
I'd say check the pressure at the fuel rail when it's bogging and not starting. A bad pump would leave you with low pressure at the rail.

Is the car missing when you rev it.. It could be a distributor problem. Timing could be off, bad spark plugs, wires, ignitor could be bad, alternator. There are many things that can cause what you are describing.. If your pump was bad then the car would buck..
well it is bucking....wires and plugs are new, distributor was recently changed from one of the best performance shops here so that shouldnt be a problem....not sure about the ignitor or timing??? thanks, Sal
