Default will a 99 b16a2 fit into a 88 crx hf?

sorry my friend is a crx noob, anyways i know that b16a1's fit with the proper mount kit, shift linkage, etc. but how about the b16a2? if so what all will be needed? oh i tried to do a search for this specific model and swap but nothing....thanks, Sal

All the same stuff as the b16a1, but you might want to convert to odb1 instead of odb2..

oh no doubt, he already has a mugen chipped p28 but if he does this i know that he'll need the obd-0 to obd-1 jumper.....so the b16a2 will fit the same way as an b16a1? thanks, Sal

same motor but different tranny... the a2 has a hydraulic clutch operated tranny while the a1 has a cable clutch...

so you can use the a2, it while be the exact same bolt up as the a1 would but you would need to get a cable tranny

thanks for the info guys....so does the cable tranny mount up the same? whast the difference, it uses a cable cluth but how about the shift linkage, is it different? thanks again, Sal
