Default Looking for opinions on engine setup

I want it to hold like 9k RPM redline, I will be using stock cams, so I don't plan on staying there, but If I turbo it I want to be able to pull gears longer. Here is what I was thinking of doing:

Bottom End:
-A6 block
-block guard
-supra pistons
-modified B16 rods
-lightened crank pully (take how much off???)
-crank scraper
-SOHC VTEC oil pan (aluminum)
-balance/o-ring/knife edge crank
-ARP studs
-metal headgasket

Top end
-SOHC VTEC head (port matched/polished)
-bored TB
-Intake mani (which one? stock? aftermarket?)
-over sized SS valves (how big??)
-valve springs (which ones?)
-deck to get stock A6 compression
-o-ring (this to or no???)

Drive Train
-lightweight flywheel (how light??)
-ACT 6-puck/HD PP
-LSD (is the quaife worth the $600 over phantom grip, any other options?)

Fuel System:
-All stock, except adjustable FPR

Ignition:
-all stock, except external coil

Engine management:
-undecided, I want auto tune though, so probably AEM EMS

Bolt-ons:
-2.5" cat back
-2.5" race cat
-CAI
-Header 4-2-1

Eventually I want to go turbo, to make the 6-puck worth it. I was planning open dump WG so 2.5" exhaust should be ok. I was just wondering if that will make the goal of 9k RPM, and what kind of WHP it will lay down as is. I was hoping for around 150 or so, am I dreaming?

your never gonna get 9k redline with stock cams..your gonna need high rpm cams and valve springs that match

I am pretty sure the stock cams will be OK since regrinds can handle 9k rpm,and the regrinds are usually more agressive than stock.

yeah but what about the spring tension? If you speed up the cam (thats designed for power around 4k) Your gonna get valve float at 9k. Dude! upgrade your valve train so we don't here horror stories a month from now!

if u want to hold higher redline, then i wouldnt suggest over sized vavles it just adds to vavletrain weight

wtf? Stock cams wont pull that high! Basically its like downshifting at the wrong rpm! Regrinds are stock cams welded on and reshaped, ie the duration and lift characteristics completly change and thats why they pull high. Otherwise the setup looks decent. Good luck!

I am planning on upgrading the valve springs, to what IDK, opinions welcome.

I know I won't make as much power there, but if I have 50ft left in a race and am at where the stock rev limiter is, then I have to shift. If I add some cusion I could pull 1k more and save some time. Besides, with boost there is always power.

Any HP estimates??

Can anyone help with these questions:

-lightened crank pully (take how much off???)
What is a safe amount to take from the stock pully(s, the alternator one too if I can do that). I have heard bad things about underdrive/lightweight pullies not fitting right.

-Intake mani (which one? stock? aftermarket?)
Opinions here?

-over sized SS valves (how big??)
I am going to ask about this in FI too, I think these will help alot, I want to run like 15 PSI.

-valve springs (which ones?)
No idea where to start here.

-lightweight flywheel (how light??)
Should I go with a lightened stock one, or a light weight one. How light can I go and still have it idle. City driveability is no big deal, I drive on the highway mostly.

thanks!

can u lighten a stock crank pullery, ive never heard of this. i personally wouldnt get one because they say it at high hp motors, the lighten crank pully isnt good. usually when your going triple the stock hp numbers.

any type of aftermarket main would be good, umm venom, skunk2, jg, str. but that will give u more power at a higher rpm, but no sense if u dont get a bored tb to match the mani

idk about valve and springs, skunk2, ferrea i think ferrea is a more turbo built thing

on the flywheel, depends on how light u wanna go

my dad is a machinest adn leighted mine shaved the ps and ac off then balanced it, wont work on b20 or some other designs. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS, the rubber that dampens the harmonics becomes brittle with the machining of the pulley and cracks within 5k miles. JUST BUY A CTR PULLEY, no ac or ps but its balanced for b series, i have one now and i just saw one for sale on ebay, also if u want ps and stuff get it for the ITR
