Default Milano red fading pink...

Hey guys, I have red honda syndrome, and of course one of it's side effects is fading red paint. Anyone know what I can use to bring the color back? Last time I used 3M compound and it just made it worse. Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks

theres just no hope, must deal with a pink car. Actually you may be able to buff the paint and revive it....

UV's is what beats up paint the most, if you feel like spending some money the best way to fix it is just go 1200 grit re clear... that should cure it for another 10 years depending on the products used....

one of the detailer at the dealership i work at says:

you need to wax your car once a month.
try to wash it once a week...to remove dirt.
use paint gloss to protect the paint...

so you guys don't follow those requirement,,,,that why the color fade...

try to buff the paint and it will bring back the color.....(not sure).....

or one can spend 2-3g to repaint the whole car

compound and buff... I do it to my 2000 Si once a year, and sometimes i'll wax it every couple of months... the compound and buff using Ardex buffing compound with a high speed buffer blings the paint right up...

WORD OF CAUTION: A high speed buffer can BURN your paint right off the car if you dont know what your doing.

claybar -> paint cleaner -> paint polish -> carnauba wax (meguiar 3 step is good)

Wax will help for alittle, but it doesn't cure everything.... also if you use wax make sure its silicon free...

My friends car was completely pink. He gets the products that detailers get and now it's bright red again. He said he'd do my car for $70 inside and out but I love doing it myself. I wash my car almost every day, at least 4 times a week and wax it about once a month. I just bought the car and it was already faded, so the fade isn't my fault

I have the Meguiars 3 step in my garage, I guess I'll give that a try.
