TESTING WATERS: 2000 EBP Si Coupe w/ GReddy turbo, EMS
*WILL POST VIN NUMBER IN MORNING, DON'T DELETE*
Hey guys, I'm just testing out the waters here to see what I could get for my car. First I'll answer the most obvious question: why am I selling this car. It's not because I'm not happy with it. My brother just got a 91 300 XZ TT, and I love that thing. So I am thinking about getting one. This post is just to see if my Si would be worth selling to get one. On to the selling part.
- 2000 EBP Si w/ ~34500 miles (not bad for a car of its age)
- GReddy turbo kit:
- Upped boost to 7.5 psi via Delco boost controller, controlled by EMS
- AEM EMS tuned in house by JP at AEM (fantastic tuner)
- Custom semi-turbo back 2.5" exhaust. Only semi-turbo back because there's still about 3 inches or so of the stock downpipe on, the rest got chopped and upgraded to 2.5"
- Custom front-mount intercooler, w/ mandrel bent 2.5" piping, painted black
- PROF blow off valve, works pretty well, but needs a lighter spring (still has some compressor surge at throttle off)
- Stock cat, will have test-pipe to include with car
- Clutchmasters stage 3 clutch
- Clutchmasters light flywheel
- DC Sports short shifter (stock one included and will install at no charge if you want)
- Koni Yellows Neuspeed Spec shocks (shafts shortened 20mm)
- Ground Control custom rate coilovers, 350f, 400r
- Stock wheels, normal curb marks on a few of em
- Pretty new Kuhmo 712 tires, about 1k on em all
- Interior is pretty stock:
- Assortment of shift *****
- GSR shift boot
- EM Racing rear strut bar and floor brace, w/ cross bar (email me for more info, these bars rock and look really good)
- Autometer boost gauge, reads about 1psi higher than actual pressure (will probably upgrade soon to GReddy or something), mounted in pillar spot
- Seats in great condition, no rips or tears or anything
That's all I can remember right now, but there's probably a few more things. The car has been maintained very well, oil changes at every 3k, with Mobil1 15w-50 (good racing oil, protects very well) used since turbo changed every 2500-3000. The engine itself hasn't had its internals touched at all. With the relatively low boost I'm running, it doesn't need it at all. I don't detonate at all doing runs out in Fullerton in the middle of the day, partially thanks to the intercooler job, again, done by AEM.
The condition of the car is pretty good. It’s NEVER been in an accident, not even a little tiny fender bender. It did, however, get run into by a shopping cart at my work the other day, which left a nice little dent, 3x3 inches, in the drivers side front fender. The front lip is, well, lets say, scratched. I can get it repainted for about a hundred bucks though, no big deal. It’s not cracked at all. There’s a small scratch, 1 inch long, on the back bumper. That’s about it as far as body damage goes. That’s about it for body damage.
Like I said, I’m not looking to sell it quite yet, just testing the waters. However, if you do have an offer that I wouldn’t be able to refuse, by all means, let me hear it. I’m thinking of asking 13,400 if I do decide to sell it. I’m not going to do a price list for all the mods, but lets say that I’d be losing out a lot at this price. Oh, and the car’s completely paid for.
So lets hear what you think. I’m open to suggestions as to prices, as well as what other things I should mention. One more thing, I have pretty much all the stock parts to give to whoever buys the car, so they could actually part it out if they wanted. And yes, I did consider parting it out, but I don’t have the time or space to right now.
And by the way, the tuning really is very nice. It’s a conservative tune, but my brother did some calculations based on some datalogs, and it looks like it has about 220 hp to the wheels, and about 155 lb/ft of torque. And that’s with the stock cat in. And yes, his calcs are pretty accurate, he tested the calculations based on some other datalogs he downloaded vs. their actual dyno numbers, and they were very close (+/- 3-4 hp).

I check that several times/day, so feel free to ask any questions or make any suggestions there if you don’t want to post. And I apologize for the long-winded post, it’s just how I type
I'll have pics in a few days as soon as I get a chance to clean it up all nice like.
As for the VIN number, I'll get that in the morning and put it in here, so don't worry mods, it'll be here.
