ITR 5lug conv. on EF
Its been done before.
But I suggest not doing it. I had all the parts and everything ready to go. I go to install the parts and things just got kinda ruff. Parts dont fit perfect and to me its just to ghetto just to say you have 5lugs and some bigger brakes. Spend the money on some real rims or go parts.

yeah i think its a waste of time and money... mixing and matching parts from 2 totally different cars is more than likely going to screw up the geometry of your car... besides that the 5 lug pattern makes your choices of rims alot smaller... its not worth bragging about to me

ummm, no. it doesnt add that much weight and if you put it on right with the right parts it wont have in poblems in camber or geometry issues.

Ummmmmm, by the tone of your reply you are the expert at this subject and I know nothing. Listen to Bryant, he'll guide you in the right direction.

Sorry, didnt mean to come off like that. But just trying to help ppl out. I have in fact done the swap and had all the parts. took them all off and sold them It was way to much of a hassle and money can be spent in a better way then pointless 5lug.

this was my car last year
this is the way it sits now... in the middle of a paint job
gotta love the R motor in there with YS1 LSD

the paint color is World Rally blue... from a subaru WRX
lol, 5x114 wich is what the ITR is, is made for many cars so im sure he has equal amount of choices with the 5lug as he does with the stock 4lug.

THANK YOU. Thats what I was trying to get at, but just couldn't find the right words.

You people are nuts... R suspension is the same geometry as GSR... they are the same car remember...

bryant... whats up bro? I thought we were on the same page? ahwww... damn it.
There are many good things and bad things about doing it to the EF chassie. yes it can be done with ZERO issues with camber, toe, chaster ect.... If done correctly. It is not too hard. Mabe as hard as doing a Bseires swap into an ef si... would be comparable. Should it be done?....... it's up to you.
I personaly think it would look very nice. I'm a huge fan of it.

This is somthing that I have set out as a personal long term goal to have if not on my ef , then on a EG or EK. it's your money do what you want with it, don't let others punk you around. Yeah money could be spent on other wiser better things like a turbo kit or go fast parts and what not..... but bottom line.... whats the difference with spending $2,000 on a swap than $2,000 on the ITR 5lug conversion...... it's still wasting money on somthing that depreciates everyday
This thread sucks...... I vote for the 5lugh....go for it bro!
Bryant... I'm disapointed in you
LOL, I'l IM you

I wanna do it too. I really don't think it will be that bad. I don't care about 5 lug. I just want bigger brakes and those 16" Gunmetal rims.
hhaha. sorry I should have stuck it out and done it, but I just got to pissed off at it...
But if anyone is interested in doing it I have the EX knuckles with the ITR hubs machined to fit into brand new bearings all set and ready to go for EF's
