Tips on buying a crx or ef hatch

I am looking for a cheap hatch or crx but I am not really finding anything. I would like to spend $1,200 or less on the actual car. I am looking on here of course and the auto trader. Is there anywhere else I should look? I live in San Diego so if you know anyone looking to sell there car let me know. I am also willing to travel.
it's hard finding a car like that on here, just keep a constant check on auto trader... that's usually where you'll find the best deals, as ebay is over priced (good for selling)
Also keep an eye on the side of the road, etc. - people always have cars chilln out there with a pretty cheap price tag. Being in SD though, I would say $1200 is gonna be tough for you to find a 5 speed hatch / especially a CRX
Keep on checking the papers too, give it some time - your deal will come through

just make sure theres no rust and otherwise i guess whatever condition you feel you could live with would be good cause it can be fixed. have you picked up this weeks autotrader?? my bros lookin for an ef as well and there was a lot i recall.. one just sold for 650 and theres one w/ ugly rims around here somewhere for 1200 i think but its brownish gold.. just a few i have recently looked at
and yes..ebay ends up gettin pretty pricey for some reason i dont know why..
