Default Civic Type R Bottom End.

Hey, I know that the ctr pistons give a itr close to 12.2:1 compression. My question is if you guys think that the ctr piston can handle that kind of cylinder pressure, and are the honda factory rings strong enough for a setup like this that is going to rev up to 9,000 rpms with the JUN type 3 cams. I am probably going to use a toda head gasket to bring the compression down to 11.9 or 12.0 or so. What do you guys think??

if i am not wrong, CTR piston is exectly the same as TODA piston. (well, they look 100% the same).

Someone need's to give us the facts, what is the actual compression ratio if you installed 81mm CTR pistons in an otherwise stock B18C5.

I don't think they will be that high 12.2 with a gsr maybe. If you go to tiiite.b16a.com they say 11.6 or more but that's not much help. I have read post's here with gsr's with those pistons and big cams and they are running on pump gas.
