Default skunk2 stage 1 ?

I won't be able to tune for a couple weeks but need to know where to move my vtec x-over to. I am still running my gsr intake manifold.

I would guess 5200-5800, Skunk2 Stage 1 cams are very similar to CTR/ITR cams, and VTEC kicks in at 5700 on an ITR...

the gsr mani will make more torque, not to mention the higher compression and different flow characteristics of the pr3 head anda different header, so I would not assume the 5700 vtec crossover of the itr for your gsr.

obvoiusly everyone will tell you put it on the dyno... to be exactly sure b/c of your intake, header, exhaust configuration... (different parts, different results)

with my setup i gained a lot of power raising my vtec from 4800 to 5400, BUT, i have a 1.7 L and a JUN header... w/ my dc jdm the 4800 was great for it.

if you want to just work on it...start at 4400 and get on it in 2nd or 3rd gear (from say 3000rpms) then keep moving it up until you CANNOT feel it kick over. it should be a smooth transition and a constant pull (torque). hope that helps.

you can most easily tell on the dyno.

where the curve dips, put your vtec there.
