any of u guys have the aluminum cam seal

my engine is leaking from the cam seal again. i only replaced it about a year and a half ago and it leaking again. i was thinking about geting the aluminum cam seal. does anyone actually have this and what do u guys think about this product??
should i get it?

I replace my twice also, and it still leaks. Like someone pointed out, I think you have to clean the mating surface. I think using some gasket sealer will also help, both of which I didn't do when replacing the seal. I'm just going to wait till the leak is bad then replace it, it's like seeping now.

My friend has the STR cam seal on his LS. Yes they last much LONGER
than the P30 cam seal but, the STR leaks eventually too. LOL
I think his is 21/2 - 3 years and it's just starting leak.
Not much you can do about though, they ALL leak after a enough cycles
of hot/cold, hot/cold, hot/cold. LOL
Just got the honda update cam seal, the P72, gonna put that one in in couple of days. Lets see how long this one lasts. At least it's cheap. It was only like $10.00 from Acura.

Did you have the older rubber seal? I replaced mine back in January with the updated version from Honda which is plastic with o-rings.
