how bad is a Rebuilt title...this guy is offering his Rebuilt Title GSR to me...but i was wondering if i bought it and i decided to sell it would the price have to go down because it has a Rebuilt Title?????If Someone could help me i would appreciate it thanks alot

 

NEVER buy a rebuilt car. there will always be some little thing that will **** up everything.

 

the price should go down just because its not a clean title. More or less when you sell it, the buyer is gonna do what you are doing now... trying to find out what the title means and just like the seller's word now... when you sell it, whatever you say about the title and car will mean absolute crap to the buyer since he/she will look elsewhere to find out the truth about the car. In my book it should be worth the same as a teg with a clean title.

my friend has a rebuilt gsr that is about to break 8s 1/8th mile and he has less than $2000 in it n no probs at all yet

 

IMO it depends on why and how it was rebuilt. if it was rebuilt cuz it had like 300k plus miles on it, no problems and the owner just wanted the engine refreshed to sell to someone, or it was rebuilt cuz the owner wanted the engine stronger then by hell it's a good buy. but if it was rebuilt because the owner beat the **** outta it and and never changed the oil and let the engine sieze up then yeah it'll suck. na d also find out WHO rebuilt it.

 

it had a rebuilt title because it was stolen...and the thieves took the motor and interior...but the guy bought new interior and a new motor...is it worth it jus because it has a rebuilt title??? i dont wanna buy it and when i wanna sell it the price goes down horribly because the title is rebuilt...tell me wut u guys think

 

so its like a theft recovery i see no reason why not to buy it i would but hey everybodys not me...

 

He should be selling to you for a reduced price anyways.

If you check it out and it looks good, then theres a very remote chance of you having any trouble with it.

Of course, theres still that stigma attached to cars with a rebuilt title, but if you can live with it, go for it.
