Need to know to make A1 rods work in an d16a6?
I need to know whow to make d16a1 rods fit the d16a6 motor? I did a search but could not find an answer. Please help. Thanks
A1 stronger, but I'm not sure if they are the same weight. If they weigh even a little different the assibly will need to be rebalenced. if you have to have it rebalenced, you may wanna go ahead and get the rods shot-peened, and APR hardware to hold it together. The ARP hardware can't be added later, they weight more or less than the stock stuff.
I wish that was the case. My A6 rods are warp. Since I have A1 rods laying around I might as well use them. Thanks for the reply.
