FS: Skunk2 Stage 1 camshaft and cam gear
I'm selling a Skunk2 Stage 1 cam and a Skunk2 cam gear (silver). The cam and cam gear were used for about 300 miles in my '97 Civic EX. I found out the compression in my #3 cylinder is kind of low, though, so I'm putting the motor back to almost stock and just using the car as a commuter. Gonna wait for the engine to give way and then move onto something else.
It's made for the D16Z6 but will fit the D16Y8, also.

Quick question, off topic, would a cam from a 93 Civic EX fit my 97 Civic EX? I know they are different engines, but I am looking at bidding on a 93 civic Cam for my 97. Thanks man, drop me an email at BMac86@comcast.net. If you come down in price a bit, I may look at yours, howd it perform??
Well, I'm accepting best offer so let me know how much you want to pay.
It performed awesome and as expected. I gained 4.2 hp over just a CAI and A'PEXi header and 2.7 more lb-ft of torque. Not bad for a Stage 1. But my compression is low, so even though I gained power, my engine is still not as strong as it could be. I think it saw too many miles of boosting.
A Z6 cam will fit the Y8 head, but the timing will need to be adjusted with an adjustable cam gear.

I prolly can't afford over $150, and I know that it is deff worth more than that, please don't take this as lowballing. I can't afford it right now, just bought a garage full of parts to get ready for this next sunday's autocross. Hope ur sale goes well. But I do have another question for ya, eventhough its only a stage one cam, could high performance valvesprings and titanium retainers still be used with stage ones(to leave room for future upgrades)?? Thanks alot for the feedback man! Leave me more.

Most definitely. They'll be very useful if you plan on going past the stock redline or drive near redline a lot. But if you raise the redline of a Z6, I don't know if the Stage 1 cam will keep making power. Not sure how far the powerband of a Stage 1 will go. So yeah, it's still for sale. I've already moved into my new place at Davis and don't have an Internet connection (using my parents' home connection right now) so sorry if the replies don't come as quickly as they should. $325 plus shipping OR BEST OFFER. I also have the cam gear for sale, too!

Glad to hear!
I sent out the instructions today. Sorry I'm sending it a little late. It should arrive, I'm guessing, around Friday or Saturday. I read it over, and it isn't very helpful, but you can keep it as documentation or something. Have fun with the cam and cam gear.
