Default JDM SIR HEADLAMPS

Are jdm sir headlamps glass or plastic? I bought me a set of plastic ones and wanted to be sure cause now I hear that the zc ones are plastic so now i'm scratchin my head on this one.

I have 2 sets of SIR headlights and one is plastic (JDM) and the other is glass (Europe). It is easy to tell if you have the SIR lamps.... the are longer than the US or ZC lamps and on both of my sets they only use 1 light bulb (H4H).

Hope this helps.

My SIR headlamps are plastic, they were off a JDM clip. So do the European ones look just like the jap ones, except they are glass??

There are a few little differences. The housing for the euro spec lamps look to be a little larger (depth wise). Also on my euro lights, they have an electronic leveling system so you can adjust the beam height from inside the car or something like that. I’m not quite sure though. They do have a little motor attached to the leveling adjuster.

The JDM lights have what I can only discribe as a "crown adjuster" it kinda looks like a beer cap on the back of the light housing.

EDM VT (siR) indeed has electronic height adjustability... the one I had before AND the one I drive now both do anyway
