90' prelude
i was wondering if the 1990 prelude had V-tec on it and what mods i could do to make it faster.i know intake and exhaust would help, also is a SOHC or DOHC? Is there any way i can find out the horsepower with out running a DYNO on it?
Thanks
Thanks
Ok, Ok.. I feel like a jackass. I'll help you out.
There isn't as much aftermarket support for the 3rd gen as there is for the 4th and 5th. But there are some things you can do.
Header, and a cold air intake (from a civic will fit if you relocate the battery), some fuel help... pressure regulators, fuel pumps, bigger injectors.
If you feel like getting more power---> Custom ground cams, some head work (DPR, Gude, JG Engine dynamics can all help you out.) Pistons, rods. Having the crank knifedged.
Chris (who owns/runs HondaPrelude.com) has a turbo on his 3rd gen.
All it takes is a little money, and some thought.

I am just buying his car off of him, and droppin' in a new engine. (B21A1 2.1 L) His website is very helpful, check it out, you won't be dissapointed.
