So i was driving around in my 1990 accord and all of a sudden i heard a sound like im dragggin a coffee can under the car. So i pull over and notice the middle part of the exhaust ( by the resonator i think it is.... like 2 feet past the cat) fell off. I drove the car home about 1 mile away with sparks shooting out the back of the car and exhaust sounding like a monster truck. I just looked at it and the exhaust fell of the hangers. The exhaust is all rusty and i cant even explain how shitty it looks..... the resonator looks like some ******* just set it into the rear end pipe thats 2" too big. The 1990 is just my winter car/ no gas in the prelude/ road trip etc etc car so i dont want to spend 1000's on after market parts for it but i do want a new exhaust. Are there any exhaust out there that are like between the 150-250$ range that DONT sound like a weedwacker? I saw the Pacesetter Monza full exhaust is $179.00. Would that be a good exhaust for the 1990 or is it a piece of shti and should i just spend the money on a nice one?
IF you want to save some $$, see if you can weld it back together. The Pacesetter exhaust seems very inexspensive but you will get what you pay for.
i suggest not getting the pacesetter. my uncle got one for his crx si and wow did its sound horrible. like it had this bad rattle that just annoyed the **** out of you. and sadly thats the way the insides of the muffler were. eghh. just thinking about it gives me te creeps. he instantly took it off and sent it back and got something else that sounded much better. so if ya feel like having some annoying"fart" sound with an added rattle, go for it. lol. but i dunno. maybe ya might get lucky. it could possibly sound better on an accord? wanna be daring?
