FS: unique/odd tow vehicle - raleigh, nc

more, and larger images here
This started its life as a 1985 International school bus. The previous owner bought it two years ago and installed a new engine and shell. He used it to tow a sprint car. These are his pictures. I'll try to get some more, and some of the interior soon.
There are two single (bunk) beds on one side, and a double bed over the driver. There is a sink, toilet, shower, water tanks (clean/waste/hot) - but the plumbing was never run for the fresh water. There is also a small gas range (that has also never been hooked up).
It's not really an RV and shouldn't be bought as such... it would make a good tow vehicle though. I brought this truck back from NY a month or so ago and haven't driven it since. I've postponed, perhaps permanently, my racing plans so this needs to go.
The brakes are excellent, and could probably throw you through the front window. The pumps for the air brakes were just recently replaced. The engine... well, it runs well for what it is. In 4th gear, it will run 45mph up any hill with no problems. 5th gear is overgeared though and makes life more interesting. 65mph on flat roads is no problem but the truck is VERY tall so it's drag limited.
If the engine is cold you need to use starting fluid to get it to crank. I don't really know anything about diesels, but I think it needs a new glowplug. Other than this minor annoyance, the truck feels mechanically sound.
It could be a project for someone, or it could be used exactly as-is. I was happy with the purchase, and looking forward to towing with it... unfortunately, plans change.
Asking price: $5500.
Interior pics?
Engine specs?

Hopefully not permanent. And hopefully nothing serious going wrong
Wasn't Chris Schimmel working on your cage a few months ago (looked nice by the way). Sorry, don't mean to pry, just wondering if words of encouragement can be given
I'll crosspost this to the THSCC list for you. There are enough crazy ***** in our club, someone will want it!

I finally got some more pictures taken today. Same location:

Unfortunately, I don't have specs on the engine. I tried to get a model number off of it today, but couldn't find anything.
