I was looking through super street mag and i saw a couple ads for a new lexan looking windows for 91 hbs anyone know anything about this? how much is it?

 

$499.95 in the summit add for the rear 3 windows...i was curious if any one new of a way i could weather proof these lexan windows so i can run on them in a daily driven CRX?...oh yea this would be illegal right?? ...if it is i still might go for it

 

they are from Flex-a-lite , yea the people that make the fans also , but insted of buying the kit i opted to do it myself , since i bought my CRX with no left 1/4 window , i took the other window out and used it as a template , traced it and cut it , then taped off the inside and painted a 2 inch lip around it , i then preped the window surface removed all the old sealant off and bought some new , then i ran a light bead of sealant around the body where the window is going to go , carefully placed the window in and let the sealant dry for a while , i let mine sit overnight , then drilled holes for the pop-rivits every 2 inches and it done . and i saved $399 and they are made of the same thickness of lexan that the kits you buy are made of .

 

Hey what glass did you use? how much did it cost?

 

by the way it $120 for a sheet of lexan
