brake light in the dash is on
parking break = e-brake? if so, then your spoiler light should have nothing to do with the dash light, one light is a e brake light and the one you removed would be considered a brake light. by the e-brake assembly there is a swith which controls this light, forgot what its called, but you might wasnt to check it out.
the thing is, it only happen sometimes. it usually happens when i just star my car in the morning and it goes away after a few minutes, but today it rained and it was on the whole time.
1. check your brake fluid (seriously.)
2. find the wires that ran to the spoiler brake light, connect them, and tape them.
3. report back.

Brake Fluid resevuior should be "topped off (as in ABOVE the MAX line).

I'd like to know when the last time you had your fluid flushed was?
Topping off may be a temporary fix, but if the fluid is so low, then it sounds like more maintenance is required.

do your guys' car sometimes jerk when u brake? for me it seems to happen when i am braking hard or going fast (not soo fast fast though) downhill, but the other day it happened on leveled ground. My car has been doing this once in awhile for a long time. Recently, the brake light on the dash has been staying on or going off & on for like a week. I finally took it to the dealer today (how convenient that the light didnt appear anymore since yesterday) and they said nothing was wrong with it and that the brake fluid was good.
How's the condition of your brake pads 1Tym?
Have you checked that the parking brake switch in your center console is moving freely?

All those symptoms still sound like you need more fluid. The sensor seems sensitive to being even slightly low and going downhill and braking from speed can cause the fluid to leave the sensor "dry." I had this happen and put about an ounce in to make it go away. It happened right after I got by system flushed.

What came of this problem?

i've had the exact same problem for a couple monthes and likewise its and 'on and off' thing. someone told me that the e-brake sensor might need 'adjustment' but i dont know how to go about doing that. the break fluid tip is new to me so i'll check that out.
This has recently happened to me about 2 weeks ago. I would start the car up in the morning and the light would be on. Then one night, everytime I accelerated it went on, and went off after I braked. I found out it was my fluid in the resevoir. I checked the fluid level a week before the light went on and it was about 1½ inches above the MIN line. I added fluid until a little bit over MAX and there has been no light since. I guess that sensor is sensitive.
