Looking at a 88 Civic HF? the lowest model...
Has 200,000 on it... new clutch an dtune up, timing belt.. owned by two mechanics... one a certified acure guy.. both whom i know personally...

What can be done to a 88 civic hf??? isnt the hf the smallest weakest one?
It's in really good shape, newer si seats tint, full exhaust...
drives good...

but 200,000.. what can be dropped in in the place of this 1.5l old motor???

please advise...

 

B16, B18a/b/c, pretty much and B-series. Then adapt a cable tranny. You would need a mount kit and shiftlinkage and axles and ecu. goodluck with it

 

you can swap in the same engines that you can swap into any other 88-91 Civic/CRX
