hey fellas,

My friend just purchased a " type r " lip from some guy on EBAY.. He put on his ad that it was for an OEM type R lip. I was wondering if there was anyway to tell the difference between a real one and a fake one.. I am really leaning toward that its fake because it doesnt seem as it was made of good quality.. Its really flimsy and feels like it would break if i dropped it.. Any way to tell if its fake or real? Thanks

If its real I should say honda on it somewhere

 

The real OEM TypeR lip is made from fiberglass that is if it's for a 97 style front.
(feel free to correct me if I am wrong.)

I dont remember seeing HONDA on my OEM lip. Does it bolt in on the bottom? At lik 7 places? If so its prolly real.

 

there are no holes made on the lip... Its not painted as well... I'm pretty sure it is fake.. Doesnt all oem lips come painted?

 

Yeah its probably a knock off or a comptech urethane replica.
