anyone on here ever used the MUGEN 2 layer head gasket????????
read that it raises the compression by .4, im using it on my race motor, anyone had good/bad experience with it? thanks.
I had one on my Stock compression GSR with P&P head and CTR intake cam really couldn't tell the difference, leaks alittle so make sure you torque the head down good.
Just installed one on a B18C5. We used a light coating of copper spray and torqued it down in steps, following the proper sequence. So far, there are no leaks or problems of any kind. I'm not sure that I'd expect a full .4 increase though. The figures I've heard are usually .2-.3.

Exactly Jason, and the Spoon gasket (at least according to the numbers provided by each company) is actually slightly thinner. I'm not sure how or where Mugen arrived at the + .4 figure, but I don't think I've ever heard of someone achieving that result.
