Nope. Unfortunetley it is impossible to mate a non-vtec block to a vtec head. Sorry bout your bad luck. Better luck next time.

ive heard that there might be clearance issues. but i dont believe it...

b20vtec can be very very powerful. overall a good set up.

b20 stock bottom end with b16 head is a decent combo that will produce about 155hp 140 or a little more to the wheels...

but unless your planning on boosting i say dont keep those cheesy low compression pistons and build it right.

depending on how much money u have to work with... all motor with bolt ons and new internals u can see upwards of 240hp! yea thats what ive been reading about lately but those are pretty close to fully built motors...

im sure u can see over 200whp for a pretty decent price and im sure u would enjoy that.

but for the money id look into sohc turbo.

buy turbo pandas hybrid internals (600 shipped) supra pistons and remachined b16 rods. its a great set up. it can hold up to 20psi on the stock block. d16s are real troopers.

but realisticly u will see over 200whp with his internals and the cheep 1400 greddy sohc turbo kit. only will put down like 9psi but it will overall be cheaper then the b20 if u were to build that with new internals.... and who can say no to boost???

plus if u come into more money later on u can buy a t28 and just start upgrading your current kit. on 16-18psi u can see around 300 whp with this hybrid set up.

its a great road to take in my opinion if your looking for around that amount of hp. and great for a rex. no fitting isssues.

so thomas take my advice and do a little search on turbopanda. look at his 11 page thread about his hybrid piston rod set up and read it all so u understand what all the hype is about and what is needed. do some research and i think u will be overall much happier then the b20. especially since u get so much more bang for the buck...

let me know on what your plans are tho. id love to come and help

Bold = Boring out one of the two.
Italics = Putting a VTEC head on one of the two.

If he meant something else, he needs better sentence structure.

no im pretty sure we all knew what he meant. you are just trying to make him sounds stupid. in reality your the one who couldn't read it correctly. it was structured just fine and everyone else understood... this is honda-tech not English 101 so please refrain from correcting. its not like he spelled anything wrong.

Try a search. LS-VTEC is fairly common. And after you do a search ask any questions you come across.
