Default just installed tanabe racing medallion on my s2k...got a question.

Anyway, as the title says . . . I love the way it sounds and the way it feels, but it bolted up kinda weird. The mufflers stick out a little too far. Does anyone have any pics of this type of exhaust on an s2k so I can compare? Also, one hangs a little lower than the other, I should just bend the hanger a little bit? Thanks.

the Tanabes do that - they stick out. if you don't dig it, which some people do like it, then sell it or trade for a different one.

if the pipes aren't straight - which not all are, try to adjust the best you can. loosen up all the bolts and try to shake it into place where you like it. there isn't but a few mm you can get out of it, but it does make a difference.

All tanabe's do that it's just there style, if you like the sound but don't like the look you can have a local mufffler shoe pull them back for you by rewelding some of exhaust. DarkCrow did this to his car on the s2ki board and having seen the pictures it looks a lot better in my opinion.

Mine sticks out the same way you're describing. I wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but I do now, and I gets tons of comments about it. It's so loud though.

Yea, I think the exhaust is growing on me now too. I had the racing medallion on my '92 civic and my '97 'teg and loved it. I guess it just takes some time to get used to the 2 HUGE pipes coming out the back. Once I get them both at the same height I think I will be happy with it.
