since my motor is on its last leg i was going to just swap out one of the ex motors and i called a local yard and they said $1100 for just a block, no ecu or anything. i thought that was kinda crazy. anyway i guess im going to rebuild my motor but im not sure of what brands would be best. i have the tools and knowledge to rebuild it just not sure of who to go to. i know i want it for daily driving but wouldnt mind it having a little more pep. any help would be great.

 

Hey I got a D16A6 Si motor I will sell ya for half that. IM if interested. Hell I'll even throw in an ECU.

 

their was an si motor on ebay that had 2 days left at 15$ no reserve, supposedly 65,000 miles on the motor but that just goes to show you what kind of deals you can find that cant be passed up. and yeah i see people paying ridiculous pricing for d series motors i would never pay more then 300 for 1.

 

no joke, thay also told me $3500 for a b16 si swap. i was laughing so hard at these people. whats bad is they are a very big honda only junk yard. i dont see how they stay in business.

 

For the record my previous post was purely a joke. I wouldn't give you $1100 for every single slammer ever made. DOHC ownz joo meng!

yea but i dont really care to put that much money in my CRX. ive started back racing and ive got 3 quads to rebuild and hopefully buying the new honda 450 if it comes out next month. i just need the CRX running so i can drive the 90+ miles a day and not unhook my truck from the trailer. i was just going to drop in a fresher motor since my compression was a little low so i wouldnt have any more problems out of it. trust me if i was going to put money in it i would get a dohc, i just dont care about the crx anymore.
