Default Check out my custom fabbed hood

Needed to get the heat out from the turbo. Plus it looks sweet too!

Can you post some photos from underneath to see how you attached the screen. And where did you get the screen from. Looking to do this to improve my CAI.

OK here is the deal:

I looked at making an EVO style cut to vent the heat from my new turbo set-up (F-Max) didnt want to pay the $$$$ for an aftermarket hood that would not be unique. I noticed that the factory honda hood bracing followed the body lines and decided to trace it out see how it looks. Once I did that I cut out the the holes and had it painted. I used aluminum grating (Home Depot) cut it out, painted flat black & covered it with black aluminum screening used for screen doors. I mounted the grilles to the backside of the hood with JB WELD. I then cut out the factory heat pad and remounted back to the underside of the hood with the factory clips.

I use magnetic 8.5" x 11" sheets (get them at your local craft shop) to place over the vents in case of rain or to wash the car).

About the Turbo conversion: 5.5psi for now, & I am still tuning the bugs. Will post Dyno pulls after I get everything fully sorted out.

From the way it looks at the top, you can add a cover if you want to wash the car. I don't think it feasible to drive it in a rain. You don't want water to soak near the spark plug area.
