Default JDM Front Ends

OK i did a search for JDM front ends, and i couldn't find a debate over the diff. between the JDM and the stock front end... i'm thinking about dropping the cash for the JDM, but I need some convincing... yeah it looks better, that's why I want it, but is there any difference in weight? aerodynamics? is it easier to fit an intercooler/other performance parts in a car with either of the front ends? basically, which one is better performance-wise rather than looks? any response is appreciated

It may be a little lighter than the USDM front end, but it is really a cosmetic modification. A $5-$6k cosmetic modification all told.
